Today is 1 May 2009.
On the same day 2 years ago, my identity had a turning point.
After 3 long months of raising supports and getting ministry partners
I was officially recruited at a full time staff in Malaysia Campus Crusade for Christ.
I thought: It would be great to look back on how God had led me since the very beginning of this journey 2 years ago. I believe I will be able to count God’s blessing He has poured through all of you (yea, YOU! ;> )
I hope by going through the pictures and some simple descriptions, you’d count the blessings of God together with me!
(Sorry if I exposed your youthful or innocent appearance long time ago..)

With SCCC W.A.P team

Media Production

With all Media Workshop students
My first assignment was to facilitate the media workshop in I-Connect 2007 in Kuantan. I had the priviledge to learn from my fellow workers from Singapore CCC (whom I met in US while we were in MTI Training).
I felt great as to be able to learn from fellow MCCC Campus staffs as well in seeing how they organize such big event and how partnership with local churches taking place!

UKM Staffs & Core students 2007/2008
I was assigned to join UKM Campus ministrysoon after I-Connect 07 finished. This was the first time I join core planning of UKM (as well as my very 1st core planning in my life!! I wasn’t a core student during my college times).
I still remember the timew we talked about building spiritual multipliers in UKM; I still remember the fun timew we had (hide-and-seek; ping pong…); I still remember how we humbled ourselves to accomplish things beyond our ability, by trusting God!

UKM Participants in CM2007

Exposed to different groups of people in CM2007

Win the campus today, win the world tomorrow!
CM 2007 widen my vision. This 6-days International conference held in Busan, Korea helped me to capture God’s heart for the World. Worshipping with over 21K people from 141 different countries was such a great experience as I had a pre-taste of what Heaven is going o look like!
I felt unworthy and honored at the same times as I see myself as a fulltime campus staff. I do think that God calls the unworthy in order to show how mighty He is through the limitations of a man like me. In this conference, I also get to know more about the UKM students and campus staffs nationwide.

Jericho Walk in UKM during Freshmen Outreach Campaign

Durian feast after freshmen dinner
Soon after we came back from CM 2007, UKM enrolled her new batch of university students. We spent a lot of time in prayer and trying to reach out to UKM freshmen.
I still remember walking through Pusat Pengajian Am, Kolej UO, Kolej IY with Wen Yee, at the same time praying for Christians in this UKM; I still remember the time Wai Seng and I found James in his room, when he was praying for a fellowship he could be part of in thie university. I still remember… my heart wanting to see spiritual awakening in UKM.

Leadership Training Class

Teaching a lesson in Part 1
I enjoyed the time teaching training classes and living together with UKM students. The training took place in TARC CLC Ministry Centre “Light House” (Where I was exposed to MCCC and being discipled). I still remember Syah Zuan’s illustrations on the air-bed and how it relates to the importance of sharing Christ in our lives. I still remember the sharing time under the “Eyes on Malaysia” at Titiwangsa Lake Garden on that Saturday night.

With Cheng Shao

Cheng Shao with CLC bro and sis after a hostel outreach
UKM Ministry welcomed Cheng Shao, a brother from Taiwan for a 2-weeks ministry exposure in Aug 2007. We had the priviledge to bring Cheng Shao with us in doing the campus ministry. He’d become a close friend of mine in this exposure trip. I still remember bringing him to Orang Asli ministry and the funny look he had when he had his first Durian in his lifetime!

I was giving a 15-minutes sermon

Campus staffs nationwide gathered for Public Speaking Training

My first time hugging Haw Zheng
I attended Public Speaking training by Elder Richard Koh after we farewell Cheng Shao. It was a training sharpen both my heart and my skill. I still remember how nervous I was when I was preparing for the 15-minutes long sermon on the topic “Vision 2020″. I thanked God for His Words and Bible Warriors who were willing to live up their life for the vision God had for them. The sermon was presented smoothly, and it impacted my own heart.
That was also the first time I stayed under one roof with other campus staffs. I thank God for another time to fellowship and drawing me closer to the MCCC family.

I joined Methodist Prayer Convention in Sunway as Malaysia celebrated her 50th year of independence. It was a 3-days long Prayer Convention gathering Methodists all across the country. There I experienced the sweetness of worshipping with almost every races in Malaysia (except for Malay). Praying using different languages, singing praises using different tongues… just so amazing!
I still remember how God deepen my desire to win Malaysia for Christ. I still remember my dedication to God to take up again my role as a prayer warrior for my beloved country and people in it.
